As the work of Indian designer Rahul Mishra attests to the art of “high sewing” or “haute couture” is not exclusive to France. The first look took 10,000 human hours to create and is a walking work of art. 

LOOK 1

Judy wears 3D hand embroidered ‘Gold Foliage’ Cape, featuring tens of thousands of embroidered leaves individually hand tacked on a tulle, paired with hand embroidered ‘Mushroom’ leggings.

Lera wearing 3D hand embroidered ‘Tree of Life’ gown featuring extensive golden thread work and an array of materials including kundan, sequins, beads and cords, adorning and illuminating the surface akin to how under the
glorious setting sun, every leaf transmutes to gold with glimmering drops of dew.
